Up for sale is my 2023 D-18 Modern Deluxe in near-mint condition. I can find no evidence of polish swirl, nor are there any scratches anywhere that I can see. The only imperfection is some very minor pick marks on the pickguard, as this was a showroom demo. The endpin has not been installed. I have set the truss rod for very little neck relief and the action is set to factory Martin standards, with plenty of saddle left if the buyer prefers a lower action. Currently strung with Martin MA545 .0125 to .055 strings, which IMO suit this guitar perfectly.
IMO, the most fitting way to describe this acoustic is that it has a ‘Martin meets Collings’ vibe. That is, it possesses that warm, vintage Martin hog/spruce tonal character with just a little extra brightness in the treble range. The titanium truss rod and sandwiched carbon-fiber + maple bridge plate and overall light build contribute to its sweet tone.
