My Mom had an '02 A6 wagon...bought new, and didn't put very high mileage on it. Electrical problems were pretty common in Audis and VWs of that era, and the A6 had its fair share of them. Definitely a nice car to drive, but quite a risk if you're looking for a solid commuter.

I don't really want to add to the burst bubble brigade, but I have been told by many mechanics that German cars are best when leased from new. Then get rid of them.

There are always exceptions, as shared above, but I personally wouldn't do it.

LOL! Ya, that seems to be logical to me. I actually just found a 2003 A4 convertible with 88,000km's. MINT for $8,000. It's tempting even with all the naysaying.

My wife's on her 4th Audi, she's a true fan-girl. We are also in the OK, an hour's drive to Kelowna to the dealer however. Perhaps we'll buy something closer to home next time although there are several really good independents here.
