Anybody see or try these non-permanent Kill Switches? Seems a cheap awesome way to see if kill switch is in your future before committing to the mod.

In theory, it seems like a reasonable way to try out a kill switch. At the same time, the location is somewhat specific to certain guitars. And those locations and guitars may not represent what sort of location would be optimal for the user.

Again, a plausible idea, but it's hard to know if it serves as an incentive, or a disincentive. I mean, imagine moving the volume control to the upper bout where the pickup switch is on a Les Paul or similar. Would that "work" for all players, or would it be perceived as an obstacle to fluid playing?

Further to this, a good sideways yank on the patch cord could snap that PCB. Be sure to tuck your cord through the strap for strain releif.

Otherwise a neat idea that may work rather well for some and rather tidy for a pretty much DIY out of readily available parts.

Thanks for the tips on the kill switch.

As far as tone knobs go, when I play slide I like to turn the tone down slightly. It makes all the difference to me getting the killer tone I like.

When I play my bridge pickup I like to roll the tone down on the bridge pickup to match it up to the neck pickup.

I don't like to use the Gibson switch to studder because it's hard on the switch and they're costly and a pain in the ass to change.

Well, there's no problem keeping three pots functional and adding a dedicated kill switch. It's a very simple wiring.

I suppose you could wire the SG with one of the pots as a master tone and the second tone pot hole used for the dedicated kill switch.
