Seems like a great idea. I have kill switches on some of my guitars but for me it wasn't much of a risk as I simply omitted the tone pots (which I never touch unless it's to ensure they are maxed).

Is there a version that works with a Strat style output jack?

I never touched tone controls much before, I built that 5F1 and now I know why Leo put them on a guitar as well as the volume control.
