Just curious what your Strats weigh? Every time I pick mine up, I keep thinking how light it is. But it’s probably because I go from my Tokai 9lbs2oz to the Strat 7lbs4oz a lot, which is almost a 2lbs difference.

Tremolo bridge = <7.5lb for me (mine is 7.4lb / 3145g with backplate and 4 springs, no trem arm included in the weight), Hardtail should be <7lb.

Also, remember to compare apples to apples:

"Each tremolo spring weighs 3/8 oz. The back tremolo cover weighs 1 3/8 oz. 6 back cover screws weigh less than 1/8 oz."

If you start removing screws/springs/backplates etc. this messes with a meaningful comparison.

Hey, just curious, how do you like the pine body strat? How does it compare with the others?
I have yet to find a pine body tele or strat that I didn't find kind of dull. I built a mjt pine tele a few years ago that looked really cool but sounded less lively than an ash tele. It did have some unique character in that it did not sustain like other woods but did have a cool hollow-body type of tone.

Up top is a 2010 American Vintage '61 "Thin Skin", Candy Apple Red nitro, Fat 50s pickups, 9.5" neck radius and 6105 frets, weighing in at 7 lb 8 oz. Below it is a 2013 American Vintage '65 in Shoreline Gold with matching headstock, the famous grey bottom pickups, 7.25" radius and vintage frets, 7 lb 10 oz. Both are obscenely good guitars; resonant, acoustically loud, toneful, super easy to play...

My Silver Sky is 7 lb 4 oz.

My CS '56 Closet Classic from 2001 weighs in at 7.2 pounds (with 5 trem springs & back plate).
The CS Ltd. '59 Journeyman from 2022 weighs 7.8 pounds, and the shop floor traveler notes the body was sorted for weight (and I think has only 3 trem springs). I was surprised at the weights, I would have told you the Ltd. '59 was lighter. It definitely feels more resonant when played.

I have a friend with a very low weight, he lends it to me for weeks at a time. Does not count because the body is 100 year old pine from Montreal, and a USA neck..( a little over 7 pounds and a half if I recall ) and amazing. Mine weighs as much as my imagination. 0 pounds. I don't have a "real" one to call my own.
