One of my kids is just starting to pick up the bass and all of mine are too hefty for him to easily manage right now.
I am looking for something that won't be garbage once he outgrows it or if he loses interests (since if he gives the instrument up, I don't need a mediocre instrument kicking around), and doesn't cost a ton.
I was looking at the G&L fallout but it is too heavy. The a newer Sterling Stingray seems solid, and I am sure there are some older Fender short scales that may also be reasonable quality? Open to other options.
Ideally looking to pay around 750 shipped (or in-hand if we can meet up). Players condition is totally cool, particularly if it makes something good more affordable.
