I like my starfire v . The difference is mines mahogany vs the vi being maple. My fretboard is rosewood and the vi is ebony . The inlays are different with the gold trim . Both I believe have the maple centerblock and the same electronics. The only downside is if you wanted to change pickups you can’t . They are different size than others and would need modifications to fit normal size pickups in it . Oh ant it seems to be a lot of $$$ for a Korean made guitar . They are made in the same factory as the Gretsch electronics where .

On Sweetwater they are like almost 1500 usd

Can't tell, but by the price I would guess either Chinese or Korean manufacturer.

In the late 70s when Japanese cars had better QC than the Americans - a bit of a 2x4 to the face for them. (same with guitars too). These days Korean cars are any bit as good as Japanese and American ones. I wonder if you can say the same about guitars??
