2018 Fender American Professional Telecaster with Custom Hand-Tooled Waylon Jennings tribute cover, Drop D banjo tuner. Form fitted elite hard shell case. This is a one of kind tele paying hommage to the original outlaw of country music.
The guitar is a 100% original 2018 Fender American Professional Telecaster that is in MINT (basically brand new) condition, with the original Elite hardshell case. The Fender guitar specs will be at the end of the description. The only alterations are the custom handmade and embossed cover, which is laced on and the low E tuner that was swapped out with a Schaller Drop-D Banjo tuner that is similar to the kind of tuner Waylon used on his Telecasters.
The cover is made and assembled by hand with all high-quality materials- Hermann Oak veg-tanned leather, Fiebing's dyes and colors, and Australian kangaroo-hide white lace. The front cover pattern is inspired by the iconic Waylon Jennings Telecasters from the 1960's and 70's. This particular pattern was inspired by the Tele that Waylon gave to Tommy Townsend. The back has a customized bookend pattern based off the front and the "Flying W." The cover fits very tight and snug and... it looks great! A custom cover alone which is handmade, dyed and hand stitched would set you back $2000-3000 alone depending on options.
