I had the smaller Vibro Champ XD. I couldn’t get along with the 8” speaker at the time but I bet I could now. There were some awesome sounds in there; the high gain Marshall sun was shockingly good.

 

Every time I stumble onto this video by Johan, I ask myself why I keep buying and selling other amps. Mine (I have 2) are the earlier XD model.

I have never seen this amp before, appears to be discontinued! This would be great for a bedroom lurker such as myself. Don’t see them used anywhere around here.

I have the x2 model. Great amp I did change the speaker to a rajin Cajon the stock speaker was usable but you know. I got mine on Amazon about a year ago it was the last one they had now they are discontinued.

 

I was playing through the XD at guitar lessons I was taking for a short while. I liked it, but really wasn't concentrating on the amp so much as my playing. I'd buy one if I saw one priced right. I'd also consider the head version. It sounded small granted, but then again, it is small. Run it through a cab maybe, or change the speaker out. Wonder if a 10" would squeeze in there.

 

You're talking about the Vibro Champ XD ? I don't think it can house a 10".

The Super Champ sounds phenomenal with an external cab. One has a new cab that accommodates a 12" speaker and the other is played through a 2X10" cab.

 

Yes, the Champ XD. Oops, sorry. Missed the super part. My bad. I do like the smaller Champ series though. The Vibro Champ reverb has lived on my L&M wish
list for a while. One day.

 

I had an X2 but could never get anything out of it that I liked so traded it for a Katana 100 Mk II. When all said and done I prefer a short cable into my 57 Deluxe no pedals, effects or anything.
