My RevStar Case Dimensions thread has not drawn any replies. So I am turning the telescope around to view things from the opposite end.

RevStar owners, will one or more of you be so kind as to measure the lower bout of your instrument(s) and post your findings to this thread? With the instrument on its back, the dimension I am interested in is the measurement across the top from the bass side of the bout to the treble side at the widest point.

Thank you

Which revstar do you have? I have a RS502 that I can measure but I believe the newer Revstar's are slightly wider...

If it's one of the newer models, this review mentions that they are 347 mm wide:

"Aside from the unspecified body enlargement, our four guitars’ bodies all measure 347mm (13.6 inches) in width and pretty much 430mm (16.69lb) from the base to the top of the bass-side horn, and 42mm (1.65 inches) in depth, very slightly thinner than the 44mm (1.7-inch) depth of the originals."

Xevyn & John123, thank you for measuring your instruments. The results confirm that the RevStar case is likely to be an ideal fit for my guitar which measures about 13-11/16.
.
What I plan to put in the case is something Fender labeled as a MiK "Squier Series 24 M-70" for two years (2002-2004) after Fender bought Guild and got DeArmond as part of the deal. Far from being just another Squier, the Series 24 M-70 is actually a rebranded "DeArmond Series 24 M-72" that has been factory-fitted w/ Seymour Duncan open coil pickups. Confusingly DeArmond had an M-70 model in their lineup, but it featured a sloped StopTail, while the M-72 featured the same horizontal StopTail subsequently used on the Squier M-70.

. DeArmond M-70 Black

The deluxe Yamaha RevStar case is nice. A great value in my opinion, too. Looking forward to using one as a new home for my DeArmond/Squier.

. Yamaha - Rectangular Hardshell Guitar Case for Revstar II

Also looking forward to getting a second RevStar case not too far down the road. It will be needed to shelter a future acquisition of an actual RevStar !

This one might fit too but not sure if this store still sells them:

Oh, nice to see there is a contoured style case in addition to the rectangular version offered by Yamaha.

The page for the case on Mike's displays "This item is not available for purchase online. Please call 410-465-0700 to order." I wonder, what with exch, duty & frt what the landed price works out to be>
.
That said, the case at Mike's in MD looks VERY similar to the products sold here in Canada by L-M under their "Yorkville" house brand.

I have a number of the Std and Dlx versions of Yorkville cases and they're not bad. I think these various models might be made for L-M by Boblen in QC (if not MiC). Whomever the maker, if they could just figure out how to make the lid strap collapse into the case when the lid comes down the same way that the straps for so many others cases do, then they'd really be onto something. Whenever I forget to run my fingers along the back of a Yorkville as the lid closes, invariably I later notice the strap protruding out the side of the case.
