I think the new finish, the humbuckers and the Bigsby are going to get this Godin into the hands of people who wouldn't have thought of the 5th Avenue before. Godin has got a real winner with these models.

I'm a big Godin fan ever since my friend Ray introduced me to his guitars. I'll start by saying I have a 5th Ave Kingpin 2 with cognac finish, simply a spectacular guitar.I found out about the UPTOWN by luck just 3 days ago, I emailed Godin to purchase a new 5th Ave neck with ebony fretboard, not avail was their reply, ouch.By chance I perused Godin's website and what to my wanting eyes did I see, the glorious site of the shiny & new 5th Ave "UPTOWN", holy smokes! AND low & behold it comes with my ebony fretboard ... plus humbuckers, spectacular finishes, looks like artwork AND a Bigsby ... be still my beating heart! My Kingpin II is so nice that I can hardly wait to check out the Uptown's mojo. Btw everywhere I take my Kingpin II it draws attention & questions, how cool is that. I'm leaning towards the UPTOWN with red finish ... and I think I'll keep both 5ths, yay.Cheers eddiebgoode. (btw, this is my very 1st GC posting, hope it was helpful to some)
