Hi guys,
First off this is not a trolling message just looking for valuation on a guitar amp for a retiring family member.

Amp in question is a 64’ Vibroverb in very clean condition. Filter caps replaced and I believe a volume potentiometer at some point of its life. Oxford speaker I believe.

Any idea what an amp like this is worth?

thank you

Here's an idea of what yours might be worth considering it's condition. This one has issues and therefore, is overpriced IMHO....

A few days ago, I was talking to a friend, a collector of vintage amplifiers and guitars, whom I have known for 35 years and who also sells them.
He told me about one of his friends who makes a living selling these instruments.
The conclusion is that the market is not favorable for sales. Buyers are no longer interested. He fears that this will continue for a long time.

There is also an open thread on the forum where this is being discussed.

Depending on where you live, you might consider consulting with the staff at The 12th Fret in Toronto. They deal with high end vintage stuff all the time. In fact, it might be the go-to place in Canada for high end vintage. If you're after a US sale, maybe inquire with Carter Vintage in Nashville. That's a whole lot of amp!

EDIT: I just looked on Reverb. The prices are between about $7000-$15,000. There is currently one listed on Reverb from a seller in Montreal for $10K CAD. It too is very clean, and appears to be original. Best.

Never use Reverb as a price guide. It's a scam. Prices are way to high, and I've heard there are a number of big collector/dealers that are manipulating the market to get prices up and up and up.
