You've seen me post about what guitar I generally use in my sessions with a bagpiper friend, but that won't be happening anymore. That friend suddenly and unexpectedly died on Sunday. He was the picture of health at 75, athletic and happy. His pipe band is now without a pipe major, and his family without a great Dad and grandfather. We'd been friends for 40 years.

Have played very little this week because of a torn rotator cuff that's giving me trouble again, and a badly pulled tricep and tendon. Physio and massage have helped a bit, more tomorrow. Even cancelled a one-off gig in September, hoping they can replace me in time.

 

So sorry for your loss, Mike.

Quickly and healthy and happy is how we all want to go, but not how we want to be left behind.

D'Addario XT HT, so I could tune to standard.

 

Nice choice, those 5th Avenues have such a sweet vibe. I was on my Strat today just noodling through some blues runs.

 

Today, Godin 5th Avenue, babbling on the "101 essential riffs for acoustic guitar"
suggested inthe book wrote by late Artie Traum (Happy's brother).

I played a 78/80 Takamine F360 today. The owner has cancer and can't play anymore. They were so happy to hear the old guitar again.

 

Played FS9-R and FYM60HD back to back.

 

Played the Eastman E1OMCE-SP and Yairi FYM66HD today.

 

While I have a lot of nice acoustics, fiddling around on the couch with my Taylor GS-Mini Koa Plus while watching sports on a Labour Day weekend is very enjoyable!

 

Played a few Rags on the lovely Huss & Dalton Crossroads (L-OO model).

 

Today I am playing my Regal RC-56 Tri-cone Resonator 😎

 

Today I will play my Gold Tone Banjitar, 6 string banjo 😁
