You are right: I just measured one of my Ibanez necks and the nut checks out at 43.45mm which is smaller than the 44.45. So the Chleo neck is 1 mm wider. Hmm, I would have liked that.

Edit: corrected the math

Maybe a tribute to Joe Pass, or Wes, but not another shredder.
Not that I love Dragonforce, but at least I’m familiar with them and can relate to what PRS was trying to accomplish. But who are all those people you mentioned? GenX’er is wondering here, been playing for 35 years…

Two of the best jazz guitarists - also George Benson, Charlie Christian, Django, etc. Maybe you need to go back and listen to some real musicians - no pedals, no flash, true melodic content: just guitar into amp. Or even some of the the old blues guys / women - Muddy, BB, Etta, Buddy, Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, et al.

Of the big brands, I definitely agree that PRS’ ability to execute is unmatched. Of course there are small builders who are able to maintain stands of high quality but scaling to a higher volume is no insignificant feat.

I haven’t agreed with all of their opinions especially with how Paul sometimes expresses them, but I have the utmost respect for his relentless passion.
Yeah, Ive found the same. Ive wanted to buy one for the longest time, but always found something I liked more when it came time. I really dislike the way Paul presents himself, and his theories. Kind of an arrogant bully, bordering on huckster.

It is ugly. And who is Herman Li to warrant a $6.8K guitar. Maybe a tribute to Joe Pass, or Wes, but not another shredder.

See @ForaFrank? This is how you build engagement.

Some amazing engineering and design. It's a signature guitar so it's not supposed to be for everyone but I can certainly see why Herman Li would love it. Full props to PRS for going the extra mile to make this one happen.

I'm an admitted PRS toady with 12 of the dayum things.
That said, I think it's a cool guitar but so far away from what I want/need/do that I'll never own one.
Doesn't matter much cuz it's all subjective. Herman Li got exactly what he wanted/dreamed up and PRS made it happen. Good for them.

To me, the most impressive thing about PRS in recent years is the way they have stretched beyond their comfort zone in their artist guitars. It's a welcome contrast to the so-called artist guitars from Fender and Gibson which in reality are just another Strat or Les Paul with one or two minor wrinkles.
