I am fortunate enough to have a comprehensive wife that also love to build stuff. So, when we got a new room after some huge french drain renovation, she builds me a little music room. Nothing fancy but it's perfect for my needs. Around 8'x12' with an outside door. I can play and record without disturbing my wife and cat and also my mother in law that lives with us in the duplex.

Good looking room and wall art. Planning on lining my walls with guitars too and was wondering where you bought your hangers, did you get a bulk buy discount and what the cost per item.
Hey, thanks!
I bought the hangers over a period of time. Mostly, at L&M and Tom Lee but some at other retailers. I think they were on average about $15.00/ea.
However, this is years ago.
Sorry, not much help.

@Ti-Ron
That was a little sonor bop jungle kit with a 16" kick that I had for 15 years.
I recently bought a 22 year old yamaha custom absolute birch kit, japan built, a very nice upgrade.
20" kick with a choice of 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 and 16" toms to mount
The building is 480 sq. ft ( interior wall measurement) View attachment 570527
Awesome kit,...those birch shells are perfect for studio recording as you know. I have a 1986 Power Recording Custom kit with birch shells. Both the Yamaha Custom Absolute and Custom Recording have the 7 ply birch shells on the bass drum and 6 ply on the floor toms and tom toms.

Attached the 2006 Yamaha drum brochure PDF's from when your set would have been manufactured and a few pics from their 2004 brochure.

I've noticed lately there have been some posts about music room computer setups and how things are mounted to walls etc so I'd thought I'd share my room here:

This is my desk setup. The desk is actually a Husky workbench that has a crank for adjusting the height (the crank doubles as a handy headphone holder). It's a great deal from home depot for anyone looking for an affordable stand-up desk and it came in super-useful when I was spending long days working from home during the pandemic (this doubled as my home office). Across the back of the desk, I've bolted a 24 outlet power strip (you can never have enough power!) and there is a single power cord running to a APC. There's mounting hardware clamped directly to the desk for monitors, camera, mixer stand etc so the whole thing can easily be moved if I need more space. All audio sources are routed through the mixer and I use the 'MPC one' sampler as a workstation/DAW together with it's software on the computer (a M2 MAC mini). The Novation Bass Station keyboard is and awesome analog synth that doubles as a controler. It's mounted under the desk on a retractable drawer so it can hide under the desk when not in use.

The ikea FABRIKÖR cabinet is great for keeping an acoustic properly humidified. I've sealed this one with caulking inside and keep the inside humidified between 45-55%. Usually there's a CEO-7 sitting in there but its at the shop getting a setup... I'm missing that guitar quite a lot :( . The old pantry cabinet is used to hold an assortment of vintage fuzz pedals and some other odds and ends.

This is my guitar wall. These are my faves (can you tell I'm partial to Gibsons?!). They are held up on a 'String Swing' that is securely mounted to studs using nice long screws. I have a switcher that routes all three of these amps through the Torpedo Captor Cab Sim and over to the computer. Works a treat.

This is the Fuzz Library. It's organized, loosely, in chronological order according to when the circuits would’ve emerged. Top row starts off with Maestro FZ-1 and FZ-1a before moving onto several variations of Tone Bender MKI. Second shelf starts off with Tone Bender MK1.5 and then various variants of MKII tone benders. Third row is Tone Bender MKIII's and MKIV's as well as Burns Buzzaround and Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine. The chronology falls apart further at the fourth row with Fuzz Faces, Fuzzrite, Dizzy Tone and Coloursound Overdriver (9v and 18v). Row 5 is an whole row of Big Muffs and then row 6 is modern day classics as well as some others. More vintage fuzz are safely stored away in the 'pantry' canbinet.

Im going to spend hours just looking.

One of the best features of the Mac is Sidecar. If you have an iPad (or a second Mac) you can use it wirelessly or wired via USB C as a second monitor.

Also, any of the $100 or so USB C portable monitors you can find on Amazon can be used as a primary or secondary display, so a Mac mini setup can be fairly portable.
Sometimes you just gotta blow the joint up
We need details on the two les Pauls standards! Beautiful flame on the one!

oh those two are couple of trouble makers... the flamey one is a R9 and the other is a R8 with a slight birds eye maple quality that doesn't really come out in photos. I searched far and wide for those two. They’re both in the low 8lb range and sound wonderfully resonant. I was never one to go for the overly flamey burst but that one in particular just checked off so many other boxes.

The R9 is a factory burst and the R8 is a washed cherry burst.

Sooo this morning I went to look at a used surf green offset anndd I came home with yet another red doublecut.

Meet Dolly DC, latest family member. Kid bought it three years ago, played for an hour and promptly quit. Thought he would take it back up eventually. Met a girl. Got married. Had a kid. Has bills. I have guitar, super duper great price. Has push pull splits for each of the hamburgers and a push pull PG out phase switch as well.
I'm happy, my wife is concerned. She says "since you started playing I'm seeing another guitar added to your collection every month." I said "well you want me to sell all those motorbikes, that leaves a lot of space to fill."

Nice setup. Looks like you really like the Tonebender pedal. I'm sure someone on this forum will be jealous of your collection.
