Forgot about this for awhile - amazing what one finds while vacuuming behind the couch. It's a new Höfner Leader Contemporary (CT) Model. The CT Series instruments are made in China, get sent to Germany, where they are set up, and are then sent to distributors and retailers.
North America gets the CT basses, but very few if any of the guitars. This one came direct from NAMM. It's a li'l mini-archtop semi. Only a two or three of these ever made it to North America, along with a couple of German-made Leader models, and I grabbed this one and the German-made ones for Canada.
Electronics include a humbucker-sized P-90 in the neck position, a humbucker in the bridge position, a three-way switch and a single volume knob.
It has a mahogany block, rosewood board, really pretty flamed maple body, and a @24 3/4" scale. Comes with a Höfner gig bag.
It's a surprisingly nice guitar - I took it out to a gig to see how it behaves and it sounds great. Come on down and peel the plastic from the pickup covers!
