Basically an M5 replacement, with one effect at a time. $300 USD

Edit: Ha, ha, looks like Sweetwater jumped the gun. The demo video has been pulled.

Edit: Aaaand it's back.

Hello everyone, I just want to ask since you are using HX one pedal. Anyway, I just got my new line 6 HX one yesterday. I Need some advice, I can't figure it out from the manual. How do i access my hx one built-in factory 128 preset. On the screen It shows here 4 preset only. Every time i both press ON button and tap/flux button. it doesn't come out the built-in 128 presets. Only 4 preset shows, anyone can share ideas, appreciated thanks,

That doesn't make it a BAD pedal, just something for a specific context. Much like the M5, it is something for the person whose pedalboard is a mixture of products and faves, and wants to have access to a bunch of things they wouldn't want to spend a ton of money for the odd use, on or clutter up their board with. If one wants an entire pedalboard-in-a-box, that's what the larger HX is for.

Agreed. But the next available unit is quite a step up in price and function. It's not quite like having an M9 and M13 available.

The HX Stomp is basically a mini self-contained rig (and the price reflects it). The POD Go, while cheaper, places restrictions on the effects blocks, which limits flexibility. The HX Effects is quite a large footprint. From there on up, it's the larger Helix units.

If this unit allowed for at least 2 effects blocks within the same footprint, along with the ability to save presets, I think it would hit the sweet spot for many users.

This is why I'm making the case that the HX One is deliberately limited to one effect so as not to overlap and interfere with the sales of the other units.

My friend just picked up a Tonemaster Pro. Historically he cycles between modelling and the real thing. Sold his Kemper to buy a Maz 38 and load up his board with Strymons and such. Now he wants to sell all of that and go with the Tonemaster and an FRFR of some sort. So far he's really impressed with it.

I think I may pick up a few good pedals and watch him poke around in the rabbit hole :giggle:

So I just sold my HX Stomp last week. I only miss one algorithm: the Asheville pattern. I ordered the HX One to use that, and have all of the others on tap, in a much smaller footprint than before, as I was only using the stomp for that and the occasional chorus or phaser. I can take off my tuner and phase 95, replacing them with this.

I had considered the Zoom ms50 but the HX One is the solution I wanted I think!

This is $400.00 and a nice little unit but when you can get a lightly used Helix light for under $1000.00 or the original Helix for about $1200.00 in excellent condition, I would spend the extra and get the Big Daddy and go whole hog.

I bought it to replace my H9 and it's doing a perfect job so far. I liked the H9 sound-wise, but I grew tired of having to use a PC or smartphone to have access to the controls (also, too much controls on the H9). I had a HX Effects at one point, so I'm at home with what the HX One is offering. Also, the thing feels solid, which is always nice

Cannot help with the above questions, but the ONE has dropped in price ($50 less I believe). It must not be moving as well as hoped. Lots of people experiencing problems with them too.

I still think it is over priced even with the drop. $250 they would fly. I am still tempted but only one effect at a time is such a limitation.
