not really feeling the love for this new app update..

Same. It used to be easy to see if any of my saved searches had new results. Now not so much.

Yeah, and it seems like your search area doesn't get carried over to your historic searches.

I search locally for some items, and nationally for others and now I have to change the location manually each time.

That seemed to carry over for me. I have some searches set to local, some to Ontario, some to Canada, etc.
