Is the show in an arena or in a club? If it's an arena, I'd track down their mgmt. or record label and beg and plead. If it's a club show then maybe hang around any doors close to a bus after the show or make a day of the parking lot and just be there before they head in.

Either way, if it was me I'd bring a pick guard or a back plate - but not the whole guitar. If it's in an arena then you're not likely getting a guitar inside unless you've made previous arrangements. If it's a club then you'll likely just get jumped for your axe.
