D'Angelico DC vs. Ibanez AS73 or ???

I sold my Memphis ES-335 a few years ago; and shortly after, my Gretsch Country Gentleman, and now I feel the need to fill that semi-hollow void.

The 335 sounded great, but felt that neck was too thin for my liking, so I moved it.

The Country Gent also sounded great, had a great neck, and I kinda wish I hadn't sold it.

That said, I'm looking for something that isn't going to break the bank ($1K-ish or less), and came across these two models. Does anyone on here have any experience with them, or have any other suggestions?

I would say get an Ibanez Artstar
Korean made and really high quality if you don't buy with an " only USA made is good" mindset

Don’t have any experience with them but I came to suggest Godin guitars. They could be more expensive then the guitars you mentioned but you can still snatch a very good Godin guitar for less than $1k.

I had an artstar for a few years. Try as many as you can. Compared one I tried later, I found mine lacked sustain and acoustic resonance. The pickups were also lacking back then, not sure if they have new specs or not. The neck however was very good and you could get the action really low without buzzing.
