Bigsby style alternatives

Was thinking of slapping a Bigsby onto an SG, kinda remaking my first guitar (Raven SG copy... If you have one to sell, let me know).

Looked at the price of Bigsby, pee'd a little, and starting looking for alternatives.

Problem is, it seems like thete are $250 Bisgby trems, and $40 eBay MIC copies, likely made of pot metal and cheap chrome.

Does anyone make an in between copy? I hoped Wilkinson, Gotoh, or someone... But seems like we're stuck with either super cheap copies or very expensive originals.
Wow, for that much, you could get a better tremolo system, a Floyd Rose system.

Years ago a luthier told me the US Bigsby was far superior to the offshore licensed Bigsby that sell for much less. He said the bearings and metal made them far less stable than the US models. I suspect a forgery from China would be worse.
Chinese manufactures have a nasty habit putting excessive amounts of zinc in their steel products ; screws, tools, guitar parts and other " steel " to us silly North Americans ... but (sh)it sells .
