Any GC members from NB that own a Rockman XP100…

I am contemplating buying a Rockman XP100 shortly and already have one lined up in fantastic condition and at a very reasonable price. The problem is I would very much like to try one out and hear it in person before purchasing. Initially I wanted to buy the rack modules (echo, chorus and sustainor), however many recommended the XP100 since it has all of those and extra all packed in to a nice combo sized unit that can be used mono and stereo.

Some of my main concerns are - how is the floor noise and hum on the unit especially on the distortion settings?
Can the unit recreate some of the other popular guitar tones from the 80s like Jake E. Lee on the Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin albums or Quiet Riot, Kingdom Come, Dokken for example!!

In terms of build quality and reliability, should I keep this at home in studio or is it built for gigging and road usage? I know serviceability is available from a few well known service shops in the US that exclusively work on Rockman gear and restore/repair and even improve existing units so that puts my mind at ease for repairs !

Any help/feedback/opportunity to demo an XP100 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

I'm not from New Brunswick but I own one of these. These are fantastic sounding amps and I couldn't be happier with mine. I'd recommend keeping it in the studio. I was recently reading that they only made 500 of these amps so I recommend keeping it and taking very good care of it. As far as the sounds you're looking for, I wouldn't be surprised if these were pretty easily achieveable. Here's a shot of mine in the "Playroom".
