LR Baggs Venue preamp + DI, and a simple reverb. Don't go crazy with the reverb. You don't need much. The LR Baggs works plugged into an amp 1/4" or PA xlr. It has tunable high and low mids, bass, presence, and treble, gain, tuner, 10 dB boost, notch filter, and phase switch. The notch filter and phase switch are very helpful to eliminate feedback. I've used mine with passive and active piezo pickups, electric guitars, and bass guitars. It is very good at taming piezo pickups.

 

@Kerry Brown gives good advice. I would also consider the Tech21 Acoustic FlyRig - probably everything you need in a single box. The LR Baggs Para DI (5 band eq, phase switch, fx loop jack) paired with reverb is also a good option. You also might want to consider some compression, but sparingly.

 

Zoom A1 Four might be something to consider as well. It sounds great, has all the effects you may need (even a tuner), can take a mic input, is easy to use, affordable, and can even run on batteries.

 

Great little unit. I used it for awhile. Now I use a Donner Arena 2000, on sale at Best Buy right now for 189.00.

I was going to add an EQ to the list, but I think Kerry's suggestion of the LR Baggs has most of that covered. I find a stand-alone EQ is convenient if you're using several guitars due to widely varying pick-up types/configurations.
