Up for sale is an original Les Paul Standard made August 28th , 1980 from serial number Database online. The Rosewood fretboard looks amazing and the neck profile is very easy to play. The frets are original with lots of life on them. The T Tops sound amazing and are sure to deliver some face melting Rock tones. These guitars were built like tanks with 3 piece maple necks that makes the notes sustain for days. You now ask the weight? Well this one is only 9.4lbs which is a low weight for a guitar from that era. The guitar comes with the original Gibson case.

Just FYI, the date in a serial number is not the date a guitar is 'made' because it takes months to make a guitar. The date in the serial number merely indicates the date the serial number was stamped on the guitar, and that happens long before the guitar is finished.

Your is a beauty. If I didn't already own three LPs I would be seriously considering this one.

 

Yes, date stamped at the factory. I have a feeling an earlier 80 because my 82 has Shaws and seen an 80 listed with Shaws. I think T Tops were being replaced with Shaws that year.
