My keeper (one of them,anyway:tongue: )is a 1967 Gibson hummingbird that my Dad bought in Toronto when I was a kid.I think it was @ the 12th fret....anyway,he nearly chopped part of his hand off while woodworking,had nerve damage & couldn't play anymore.So he traded the guitar for a '49 Plymouth,I had to track it down& buy it back for almost double what it was worth (the guy knew how much it meant to me,and he really leaned on me

).The happy ending is,it's never EVER going toleave the family again!
And to reply to the "Keeper that turned out NOT to be a Keeper":itwas a '72 Strat neck on a '59 body.Cool when I was playing Dokken & Ratt in the '80's,but the EMG's and the Kahler trem really bummed me out as I developed an appreciation for vintage axes.Kahler.Ouch.
