I recently got an 80s Yamaha SBG200 from krall, and I quite like it ! I am interested in checking out and buying another, different model . If you have seen any around for sale, please drop me a PM!

The control knobs don't look original. Also, there is a toggle switch near the output jack. It is likely the push-push tone pots had been replaced at some point with standard pots, with a toggle switch installed for the coil-split function.

I have a couple of early '80s Yamaha SG-2000 guitars. I love them.

there is one 15 ft away from me right now. my buddy has owned it so long, it barely has any paint left on it. he claims it used to be blue. he wouldn't own another guitar if you gave it to him for free.
he loves that guitar the way basketball jones loved basketballs.

I played an SG1000 many moons ago and I remember it being a really nice guitar.

You can scoop them up from yahoo Japan all day long for good prices.

There is a SG 3000 for sale in Halifax now...looks to be in nice shape (1983 YAMAHA SBG 3000 WITH OHSC | guitars | City of Halifax | Kijiji). I have a 3000 and an 1802 that I was looking to sell earlier in the summer, but then I went away for work for 2 months and, well, absence makes the heart grow fonder and they are staying put.
