My memory of it even as a 14 year old was that it had a very narrow neck. I keep my eyes open for them as my old one has a very distinctive mark on the top and I wouldn't mind having it back if it ever showed up again.

I met a guy in New Brunswick that had one and it sounded fantastic. He told me to snag one if I came across it.

They were $500, then the last couple of years $600, $700...

I've seen them listed in Edmonton, Calgary, but mostly in T.O.

I just remembered a buy years ago
The guy sold me Gibson Bluesking acoustic for a crazy great price
He said “lt had no more songs in it”?
Nutty thing was his picture and shrine his favourite guitar a red label Yamaha something
Ok…, still have the Gibson excellent guitar but not a best kept secret shhhhhh…..

Price is high but it does look to be in incredible shape for an early 70's Yamaha and I would expect it sounds very fine. Handmade in Japan if I'm not mistaken, with an Ebony fretboard and bridge. That top grain looks very nice. My main concern (were it priced reasonably) would be the neck set at this age.
