i have a les Paul special from the 70’s that has a couple terrible neck repairs and could use frets. It’s a fun guitar, and sounds great, I understand “buy a historic or another les Paul” is the more logical choice, but I salvaged this from reverb and enjoy it.

many Forums in the states have neck swap threads, but cites has me weirded out on sending guitars there. This got me wondering if there are any builders in canada, and what price I can expect.

I would ask Brian Monty. He used to be Gibson's Canadian repair luthier. I'm not certain if he still does that kind of work, but it's worth a shot.

You can also check with Fred at Freddy's Frets as he is a bulder/luthier

Mike Spicer at The Peghead in Hamilton (he built the Guitar Clinic replicas before that was really a thing) or Tom Bartlett in Guelph would also do a great job.

Brian Mascarin & Scott (?) Wilkinson could also handle it, although I don’t have contact info for them.
