... slappin' a set of octave strings from a 12string set, onto my son's old Jay Turser steel string acoustic ... is half size, so is like a parlor size for me ...
Nashville tuning anyone?
(am learning "wild horses" for wifey)
I have been:
- avoiding this thread as it just keeps bringing me to myself, and i've been shirkin' & makin' excuses ... avoiding decisions regarding gear vs who/what i am ... and what i'm doing & what i do & where i feel i'm going ... decisions, the money, the work involved (sigh) ... pickup swaps, refrets, rewiring, selling off what i don't need etc etc etc ...
- enjoying playing, "shredding", and learning on my son's $70 Jay Turser acoustic. I love it. Just pick up and play.
- neglecting my main guitars. They are so sweet. "But" they all need work. Can't just pick 'em up and play. There's always something not right. Such a drag. So i skip them.
It's like i own Porches & Jags ... and then i prefer to haul ass to work everyday, burnin' rubber down the Queensway, hair on
FIRE, and all the while just
stylin' man ... ridin' my son's tricycle ... WTF ...
Maybe it's time to backup, make simple decisions from a more simple viewpoint, and then just fix my shit. If a decision becomes "difficult" just cut it off at the knees & simplify.
Git 'er done. Life is short ... and we are here for a good time, not a long time ...
