Now that the DR is hum-free again, I'm working on my slide playing on the new-to-me "Probably D'Aquisto Japan." With flatwounds it sounds so fat and sleek and silky. Working especially on playing scales and tunes in sixths using slants. Getting them smooth and in-tune at the same time is challenging.

It's also the middle class version of your amp!
And yes, drop d, lots of recording in drop d for the simple reason that my guitar was in drop d when I started recording and that's that. haha

Mine was full of dust, and fretboard gunk. I dont really drink so the beer cans would be missing. 🤷♂️
I'm not doing so great at Les strat more paul January, but I am playing the studio more and more. I find the more I play it, the more I love it. There is a lot to discover in these pesky pauls I have to say.
Right now it is how fun pulling the pot on the neck pup is and running that sound. Truly a fine instrument. Still haven't completely set up camp but I at least have a tent in the campground.

I have not touched other guitars much since getting my FCS '59 journeyman tele a couple weeks ago. Working the Gretsch (Players Edition 6118 Anniversary) back into the rotation. The TI flats and big body make it feel so different from anything else I've got, but it's still super comfortable and a great instrument. Here it is at this morning's gig in the magical kingdom.
