"Close enough for rock and roll..."

Hi. I'm pretty sure this is a metal film capacitor. Can anyone tell me exactly what it is and where I can order them from?

I am just messing around with upgrading some components on one of my old pedals.

Thanks.:confused-smiley-010

Kinda hard to say, SI2T. The fact that it has so little info marked on it makes me suspect it's just a run of the mill mylar or film cap. If it was anything upscale it absolutely would have the manufacturer's identifying logos all over it.

I can tell you that the "104" means the value is .1 mfd. The voltage rating won't matter in a pedal. Any cap these days will handle far more than 9vdc. I'm not sure if you can find film caps rated at less than 50volts anymore.

If your pedal has cheap ceramic caps then anybody's garden variety film caps will be an improvement. :rockon2:
