I have a Teisco Del Rey that is a copy of an acrylic Dan Armstrong guitar, and there are pickups in it I can only assume are not original. Very aggressive looking and sounding Gotoh pickup. Anyone have a clue?

That's what I thought too, but I wasn't sure if they even had a copy version.

Measure the DC resistance. That can help to identify what it is or isn't, sometimes.
