Artificial voice has come a long way in the last twenty years. Now, if they could only put someone's beautiful voice in my voicebox, that would be something!

Say what? How a Canadian company can clone your voice
Lyrebird says it can copy anyone's voice and make them say anything

Careful whose mic you speak into... New technology can clone your voice convincingly.

The gap between human voices and computer voices is closing. A new Canadian startup called Lyrebird says it can copy anyone's voice and make them say anything.

Scary actually.
I watched a news item a while back stating that marketers only need to have
you say 'yes' during a conversation to attach your name to a contract.
Now with this ..
Imagine. Police wouldn't need to extract a confession from you.
They just have to record you while having a polite conversation and
then type whatever words they wish and attach it to your voice.

I will be very careful around you guys. Someone will get a few words from me and the next thing you know, someone will be saying that I said I love Gibson and Fender guitars with a narrow nut.:D

I was speaking with a scumbag lawyer the other day who suggests his clients use voice changers whenever they are making 'business' calls. He said it's quite comical hearing people call up and order an 8 ball of cocaine from Daffy Duck.

I was scammed by some 'marketers' this way. I even told them I only agree if I first get a print copy to see how it looks and a listing of the postal codes the publication will be delivered to. They still sent me a bill of almost $400 and when I refused to pay, they had a local collections agent that threatened me and my family, they even went as far as saying they'd contact my clients and tell them that Im not paying my bills etc. The VPD handled it for me.
