There seems to be a V1 and a V2 version.

How do you tell the difference ?

Are they marked somewhere with V1 or V2. ?

Did V2 completely replace the V1 and if so approximately when. Are V1's no longer sold.

What's the difference btw the two.

Thanks

Maybe equally important, what's the difference between the Tweed 57 and other similar pedals? Brian makes a decent product, so I won't fault it. I'm just wondering how this one differentiates from comparable units.

Well it looks like there are two different versions for sure.

One of them has both jacks on the front and the other has one jack on each side so they are easily identifiable.

Still not sure which is which though and if it matters.

Edit - a picture of the side jack version shows up on a list of discontinued stuff in their blogg so that's probably that.

I can't answer your questions directly, but can say I had one a few years back. In my set-up it didn't do much for me, so I flipped it. Tried thru a couple different tube amps and both humbucks and single coil. Other people liked it good enough though. Maybe I was expecting too much.

Yeah I ended up getting a used one which has both jacks in the front. A bit agnostic about it so far but its the only pedal I have and it kinda helps on lead parts because with 12s there's a lot more decay than with 10s and such so its adding a bit of sustain when needed. Maybe there's better options but this'll do for now.

This is the one I got.

Using it with a Fender Super Champ.

Set on Linked and even with the Gain turned right down it's quite noticeable.

Have to drag my ass and my amp over to the rehearsal place and see how it behaves at higher volume.
