Normally this is a paid plug-in but this funk (also usable for rock, pop, etc.) drumkit instrument is free for a limited time. The copy protection is online challenge/response, so you will need to register an account at UJAM, but it's very simple and the only fields are your email and password. It has five different drumkits and you can play the parts individually or use the sequencer with the preset patterns. It's available for both Mac and PC in AU and VSTI formats.

You're welcome. Even though they describe it as being more for "hip hop" and "rap" oriented tracks you can use in a rock/pop context as well. There are five different kits and plenty of adjustments can be made to the sound.
