These are on sale for $24. They sell for around $30-$40. The way it is uses the heal and the door to keep them in place. For pedals I might reverse the angles and put a thin stopper strip along the front, Where the back of the shoes are now. the shelves would have to be filled in with something. Clear plexi for everything would be cool. To reverse the angle, take the very bottom front horizontal bar and attach it to the 2nd from the bottom back bar.

Turn it upside down, which will provide a slope toward the front while still maintaining the spacing away from the wall, or whatever vertical surface it is mounted on.

How to keep them from sliding off or falling through? Get a piece of poster board from the dollar store. You know, thse stiff board that are a layer of stiff foam sandwiched between two sheets of bristolboard. Cut out pieces large enough to form the "floor" of each shelf, and use a glue gun to secure them to the top of the rear bar and underside of the front bar. The slant will et you see them easily, and the front bar will prevent them from sliding off.

Make sense?

Cool idea.
Clear plexi for everything would be cool.
The cost of plexi would be more than that unit. lol.
I'd go dumpster diving behind malls.
Stores tend to throw out display items made of plexi.

Sell all you pedals and buy shoes. Then this will work perfectly for all your display needs.

Or do as @mhammer suggests, that sounds pretty reasonable.
