One of the most amazing and surreal things I have ever seen in my life was a college bowl halftime show some time in the very early 70's, in which a very large marching band, with all the epaulets, shoulder tassles, tall hats with chinstraps, and drum majors and majorettes, performed the entirety of Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida as a halftime show for the football game. Batons were twirling, boots were stepped high, glockenspiels were in abundance, and they did the entire drum solo, marching back and forth along the field.
Of course, the one thing they lacked was the big long feathers that these guys have. Great effect when they all turn their heads at once.
