After a gazillion deals, I think I've been had.
I bought a used Celestion Greenback that was listed on Toronto kijiji. It had no red flags: it was market price (not a steal), the ad didn't offer shipping (I contacted the seller asking if he would ship), responses were well written, prompt but not overzealous, and there was no pressure tactics other than a message on day 2 asking me to make a decision because other buyers were interested (understandable). Even after I sent the cash by EMT, the seller contaced me, said he would send the tracking info soon, and informed me he was going to take the ad down so he wouldn't keep getting replies (which seems reasonable in a large market selling a popular item). Since then, nothing . . .
Since Tuesday, he has not responded over kijiji or the email address I sent the cash to. It's a busy time of year so I had no real concern on Wednesday, started getting concerned yesterday, and I am now facing reality today.
The guy goes by John, ad number 1319734928, his email is [email protected]
Has anyone dealt with this guy? I usually get a cell number but I didn't this time because I was busy with work and just did not see any type of problem emerging.
Tis the season
