So I had some cash in my guitar fund, and kind of wanted something different. This popped up on Kijiji, and as I was negotiating, at one point the seller said, you want a Rolls Royce or a Toyota? Because this is the Rolls Royce of guitars.
It kind of fits, it big, flashy, fancy and was kind of expensive.
Here she is, a 1977 Guild X-500. Its in amazing shape for its age. Pickups are awesome sounding.
A true masterpiece of a guitar. My crappy camera can't capture how nice it is, the neck and sides have nice flame and the spruce top is really three dimensional.

I now have the beginning of a Guild collection as I bought a 1963 Guild Jetstar last week. Its a lot more affordable than collecting Gibsons!
