Here are a few more pics for those that missed out.
First, this guitar is a Univox Eagle Ripper. It's really unusual but caught my eye because it has a carved top. Did the Japanese hand carve this? The owner thought they might have. I can't imagine it being machine done, but what do I know.
Next, a '61 Les Paul. Yes. You've read about them but have you ever seen one up close? The case looks just like a 50's LP case. I asked the owner if I could feel the neck shape and was surprised that it wasn't nearly as thin as I expected.
And I wish I had made an offer on this Chuck Berry picture. The owner was from Montreal, if anyone knows him, I'd be interested in contacting him if he still has it.
There was a players grade '57 LP Special too. I looked at it a bit but just can't figure it out in my head so quickly in those circumstances. It's a relatively big buy and you can go wrong when it comes to old guitars, so maybe all just as well. I did leave the seller my number though. I should have snapped a pic of it.
There was a nice collection of vintage flat top Gibsons too. Don't know much about them but here's a pic of the priciest one.
