That's a nice story. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I'm sure they're happy to be working together again.
Funny thing, though. I was well aware of David DiFrancesco, since he had a number of articles in Polyphony magazine, forty years back. But I had absolutely no idea that his middle initial was "O". Presumably, given he was the founder, D-O-D stands for David O. DiFrancesco., same way JHS stands for Josh H. Scott. But to stem any rumours, MXR is not someone's initials. Apparently, those guys were making mixers, initially, before branching into pedals, and MXR was simply a coy way of misspelling "mixer". And, as I hope we all know, EHX is also NOT someone's initials, but merely an abbreviation of Electro-Harmonix.

Some older Multi Effects Floor Units that Digitech created by in the 1990's, still stand the test of time.

I still use an RP-1, RP-12 with a Digitech 2112 SGS that has two 12ax7 tubes .

Digitech has new owners and claim that they are going to get at the forefront that they once had in the 1990's.

I remember going to a sales pitch in the early 80’s with Digitech pedals, they were demoing their pedals. I made a joke to the guitar player about playing with the Osmonds, it wasn’t a joke! He was a Mormon fellow that played for Donny and Marie.

The pedals were pretty cool for the time, I have and still owned a couple over time. All we had access to locally was Boss and Digitech. I was also broke back then so I had stars in my eyes about such things.

One unique pedal DOD had, was the FX 30, it was a noise gate and effects loop .
Contrary to what people say, the noise gate was very responsive and opened / closed when you needed it to .
I think that I still have it somewhere....

I still have the Digitech Studio 400 in one of my studio racks and use it quite regularly. I find because it is like having four effects processors in one box that you can set up a pretty decent vocal spreader for use during mix down.

Also, there is pretty much the Digitech 2112 built into my Johnson Millennium Stereo 150 Amp as they use the Digitech S-Disc II effects processor technology,... very powerful unit.
