So obviously, a double neck V case is going to be a tough sell. In fact, if a guy with a double V contacts me, I’m giving him this case. 😆

The Dio on the case is the exact font and logo for the band “Dio” as in, Ronnie James Dio. As in Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio. Kinda weird for some kid to scrawl on his case.

Then I saw the seller was Le Studio at Morin Heights. Located near Montreal, from the late ‘70s to around 2000, it was a world renowned studio attracting everyone from Bryan Adams and Rush to the Police and David Bowie. That made me wonder how that case wound up there.


I also saw that list after I posted. Not sure how the case may be connected then. I also googled to see if there was a photo of Vivian Campbell ever playing a double neck V but no luck. Same with the later Dio guitarist. Oh well, not like it would be a great piece of rock memorabilia even if it had belonged to them.

LOL (keyword spamming and literally double the going price when they look beat to shit, though he name drops the best techs claiming they were serviced by them recently - likely trying to recoup costs for that; but that's not how it works)

I just bought an MV692 (mic preamp/body, same as above.... except mine was a P48 version vs an aftermarket mod) with the M70 SDC capsule (vs the UM70 LDC above) last week for 1/4 of this (also on ebay) - which was a silly good deal but still. I've bought and sold a few MV692/UM70s in my time and still have one. The current production version (UMT70) is C$2.2k brand new (only significant difference is the old ones have a transformer output, vs UMT which is transformerless, so some people prefer the old ones, but they've always been less than the UMT new). Like that's almost (modern used) Neumann U47 money. Or 2-3 Neuman TLM series.

There hasn't been one of these up on ebay for a bit though so maybe he's banking on someone being desperate. They are great mics and super versatile.

The neck, well I sent that off for a price really close to that. Zero is really close to 250 when in relation to 7 million.

Seller always wanted the looks of an upside down guitar like Hendrix played. Simple, elegant and completely reversible.

I saw one local listed for 400 yesterday and had a bit of a chuckle.
