They sure have a..... familiar design to them. But I wonder what they sound like. I've heard they're going to be at the most, $750 Canadian. Worth it? I know Behringer is hit and miss when it comes to their products but I wonder if they're starting to turn it around. Id be interested in hearing about places that will have these amps in stock and people's opinions of them.

Besides the amp appearance clearly being Peavey rip-offs, looks like they decided to go with a similar site design as Marshall...

Real innovative, lol. All those pics are done with the PC... the one real one I could find:

Labels put on with a labelmaker? And crooked? Now that's hardcore, haha. I don't trust that shit, or anything associated Behringer. IMO it's just smarter to spring a little more cash and get a used 5150 or JCM900 which generally go for like $899.

you'd be surprised how many amps come out of the same factories. I bet, were you not confronted with the stigma, you would easily rate the behringer in line with krank or divinity or any of the other offshore pcb amps.

odds are, this amp will be a relative value because its the exact same as other, more expensive amps, but not as well marketed.

I highly doubt that. Bugera / Behringer are all cheap ass parts from third world countries to keep the cost down where Krank or any other high end amp is hand built with the best available.

Let's spend a couple $100's less than the actual 5150 head for a copy that will only break down due to it's shitty parts a few months later! To me, that doesn't make much sense. 5150's are hard to find sometimes, yeah, but patience pays off. Or you could always spring for a 6505 which is basically the same if I'm not mistaken.

On the note of Krank, try and find the factory tour... I think they did it for Guitar World... it was on YouTube I believe, totally cool video.

They might give good tours but believe me, their amps are SHIT!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! I had a Revolution combo for a few months and I would definately not put it in the same class as any other high end amp. Probably one step below this Bugera series.

I tried the Krankenstein and loved it. That said, I found it to be pretty narrow... like the tone options are clean, heavy or hardcore. No lower, no in between. Worked amazing with high output pickups and an overdrive pedal... pretty great for me, but I personally like the heavy tone of the Peavey XXX / JSX / 6505.

I'll say there are better amps out there for the money, but you know, you just look and look for that one tone that you've got in your head... people try a Krank and some will love it and get that tone they want, while others won't.

Krank's build quality is damn fine, the Bugera is filled with shit quality parts, that's what I was getting at.

Here's a link for you to check out http://lamusic.ca/default.asp?nBrand=2433&nLevel=0

I ponied up my cash and ordered a 6262, I have been kind of gassing for a 6505, but I already have a JMP-1/Tech 21 pres into a 9100, and a Cerra tone 800 2204 one the way, so I figured I'd try one of these out at nearly half the price of the 65. I wanted a more modern sounding amp, and a mesa was a touch out of my price range at the moment. But I am hoping it be fun for some high gain fun, we'll see how it goes.

So $638 vs $895 for a used 5150 aka equal or better than the 6505 (6505 is based on the 5150, as well all know) and > anything Bugera... you can even pick 5150's up for $700 if you find a local ad. I remember seeing one in Ottawa, sold insanely fast.

Meh, it's your money not mine. Just remember, there's a reason they cost less!

6505 based on the 5150? dude, the 6505 IS the 5150.

i've seen more than one 5150 go for under $800 in ottawa, w00t TheOM.

i'd like to hear this bugera 6260 etc, but i'd have to hear a 6505 cranked up first. i own a JSX, im not really looking for anything different right now :p (but do have dual rec GAS as always)

Yeah, I figured it was but I didn't want to say that 'cause I wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for clearing that up.
