I bought this guitar in spring of 2016 from the local L&M, partially because I needed a backup and partially because I wanted to see what I'd do to a satin finish.

This is a 2016 PRS S2 Singlecut Satin in Tobacco. Well, the back of one anyway. The front is starting to show signs too, but they don't look nearly as good.

Let the register show that I haven't even had this thing a year yet ;)

I want to see pictures of your loved guitars. I really want to see your loved guitars that you put all the wear on, but I bet some people here own guitars that came a bit worn, which they've added to.

War stories for certain markings encouraged!

Since the belly pushed out, the back of my Les Paul has taken a very bad hit (I'll get a pic later). I need one of those Tongue things they used to advertise in guitar magazines in the 90s. I can't play it any lower and I certainly ain't about to pull a Kim Mitchell/Tom Morello.

That looks pretty beat up for a one year old year guitar. How many hours a week do you play it?

Its probably 9 months old at this point I think. 11 months tops. I play it 3 hours a week when we're not out and about.
Wow, I'm surprised at that amount of wear, then. You are either very rough on your guitars or that is a very cheap finish.

I'm guessing it's neither of those. Being in a band on the road frequently is the likely reason.
You may be right. I didn't ask if he keeps it in a case.

I have an idea: strap it onto the roof of your tour van, and see how it wears

maybe with a Gopro cam as well...you could post updates on social media :D

hell, you could charge guitar collectors a fee, to bring their guitar out on tour with you, strapped to the roof

this is about my worst...although it's from a previous owner who mistreated the gtr

it also has a broken/repaired headstock. There is some buckle rash on the back, hard to see in the pic.

I angled the flash in pic #2

the front is not so bad. just a really bad gouge by the knobs.

it is a really nice piece of maple though: lots of grain, lots of flame, and one piece!

I have considered getting it refinished to look more like Peter Green's LP

The trans black is much darker than this photograph. From further than about 5 feet away it looks solid black
