Just received my Winter edition of Steel (formerly Wood & Steel), the Taylor co. quarterly.
The new V bracing is explained with much emphasis and photos.
Not only does it enhance the sound capabilities of the soundboard but also contributes to correct the intonation problem.
This intonation problem is discussed quite much and as I understand, fret location on the neck would be a compromise to accomodate all scales, since the exact position for one scale would be out of tune for another scale.
Taylor co started production on high grade models to expand to other models later on.
Pricing ?!? Bursting the 10k$ ! bou ha ha !

Add on : I went on a French lutherie forum... and found the basic idea of V bracing was exposed by someone from Holland... in 2012 ! Noone discussed the intonation aspect...

Just received Summer edition of Wood & Steel...
Shawn Persinger tried a new V bracing with koa back & sides.
He noticed the long sustain but also report sympathetic vibration of strings and feed back ! 8-/
