Looking for a neck pickup to balance Dirty Fingers in bridge.
Was thinking Gibson T-top (T-buckers), or alternative.

From what I found Gibson 490T with short Alnico 5 is a cheap option.
Manilus pickups are likely even better.

Does someone has any experience with that setup?
Any tips?
Any matching pickups for sale?
Looking for black coloured.

Like its’ neck counterpart, a stock 490T should have an A2 magnet, the slightly hotter 498T has an A5. IMO the 490R does a good job of nailing Clapton’s late 60s tone: as a drunk neighbour once described my then-GF, they are “sweet & Creamy”.

I think he meant Vineham pickups, it was a typo. He makes a t-top model called the 6070, I've had it in three different guitars (including a matched set in my PRS Starla right now)

Brandonwound in the states is another company that makes t top clones, and he actually has the mold to make bobbins with the little T embossed on it. Pricier than the vinehams but a nice touch.
