I'm more than a little disappointed with whomever locked the SX Tele thread. I don't understand how trolls can take over someone's well intentioned thread and then have it locked when it doesn't go their way.

I would like to see the thread either unlocked or continue on either here or a new thread as I for one was interested in how that guitar could turn out with some mods. Not everything on this site needs to be overpriced, over defended, half-quality stuff. Or is this "Only Some Guitars Canada" or "American Made Guitars Canada"???

Let's knock off the crap and get back to guitars people. All kinds of guitars. If you aren't interested, DONT POST

It was your fault, I reported you for your use of the word retard, I find it offensive. Don't do it again!

Congrats on starting a new thread to continue this topic! (i.e., here should be perfect) Good on ya!

@vadsy posted just seconds before me and I hadn't read his post.
@vadsy Why not send @Scotty a PM and request that he consider changing the word that offended you? Just wondering.

Nothing wrong with reporting a post if it's offensive. Especially here when you have the opportunity to think about what you're saying before hitting that button to post a reply. There's no excuses IMO.

Perhaps people's sense of humor is lacking.
I had no intention of being disrespectful personally but maybe pushed it a bit too far.

Despite it all, I have an interest in how the guitar in question turns out, please carry on.

Don't shift the blame. I find it laughable that You, one of the most offensive & antagonist people on this site took offence. Not a chance

Not only that, there's threads on this site with a much higher content of offensive wording, some it coming from YOU. Can't report yourself?

So please do us all a favour and cut the BS.

I'm not shifting the blame, just calling it like I see it. The last time I heard someone get called retarded I ended up chocking on the crayon I was eating. Suffice it to say I was shocked and appalled.

I would love for you to point out which of my site 'content' is offensive.

Why so you can hit the "report" button again and play "I want candy, I want candy, I WANT CANDYYYYYY"?

I have no idea what Vadsy said on any thread but for people like that, I find it's just best to put them on ignore. That way you don't see what they post and they don't get fed by any replies. It appears that is what they are seeking; to get a rise out of others by their comments. If everyone had members like that on ignore, the place would be a lot friendlier and less antagonistic.

And thank you Scotty for trying to get the thread started again.

So let's get the show on the road here, or start a third thread on that Tele. What's a guitar thread without pics, eh ?

I NEVER was a Tele fan. Hate the looks. It has a body like it was hacked in the back shed from a leftover piece of table. Headstock is an aborted Strat shape. Again hacked from a leftover plank.

Then a friend bought a Fender Standard a few years back and he doesn't play it. Likes his acoustic better. So I asked to borrow it. Black run of the mill Tele. Strings are as old as the guitar and pups are so low, barely any sound comes out of there, and it's muffled. Twang ? Nope, not an ounce of it. So I adjusted the pups and ... geez that thing sounds good. I was expecting some kind of Strat parentage, but no, it has a voice of it's own and it ain't a cowboy sound. Now all of a sudden I'm thinking about trading him something for it. I won't change the strings and didn't adjust the action since it's not mine and I might not get it. But it sure changed my mind on Teles.

Another surprise was this video. While looking at amp reviews, this one caught my ear. I couldn't believe a cowboy guitar could sound that good on my amp.

Now this thread ... It's not the first time I hear great reviews on Rondo and I found myself wanting to know more about the SX Furrain. So please, let's try to concentrate on this guitar.

I didn't know how good they could sound until I saw Gary Moore rough one up. No Cowboy there either
