I have a guitar i tune to all f# apart from the g string which is c#.

Ive just been setting this guitar up and have been thinking about whether i should think about using something different than a standard pack of regular slinkies to help with the tuning?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Are you on electric ? I don't know about electrics, but if you are playing acoustics and want to crank the strings to higher notes, you should use thinner gauge; bigger gauge suggested if you loosened most strings.

Why would electric be any different than acoustic in this regard?

@Joshua Caole ....Can't help you with your string question, just wondering how your guitar electronics (i.e., pickups, pots, switches) are doing after the work you did on the wiring recently?
