Lindy fralin has 3 different curves for most of his single coils. Also have had Fred at Freddie's Frets set up all my guitars so I haven't had that problem. If I remember correctly Lindy has a video showing how to set up single coils and he purposely puts the pickup too close so you can hear the warble. Then he backs it off until it is gone and that's your height
