Hey Y’all,
Just a quick word about a local resource (if you’re in Ontario) that you may want to know about... Steve Moratto.
He’s on our forum and you’ll see his builds come up for sale every so often. Steve repairs and builds amps “old school”. Point to point with the best components!
I was having a dilemma - in spite of having quite a few amps - I have no good tone for low volume rehearsals. So I took Steve a Marshall Class 5 Box... he gutted the chassis, installed an EF86 pre-amp (a favourite of mine), 2 x EL84s and some big iron... with magical results at only 10 watts! Just a chimey tone that rages when you turn it up, and it’s easy on the ears!
It’s got a 10” greenback in it and an 8 ohm tap for my ext cabs.
Cool!
So I just wanted to recommend Steve ... he’s in Ajax. He rocks!

I was over at Steve's place earlier in the week and saw your build in process. He fixed an issue on my Clark Beaufort with a very quick turn around time.

I highly recommend Steve as well.
